Thermopot is a fairly new household appliance that combines the properties of a cooler, a thermos and a kettle. Due to this principle of operation, the thermal steam has gained wide popularity among the population, since the owners of the apparatus always have hot water on hand to brew tea or coffee. It does not waste time to wait until the water boils, as is the case with the electric kettle.

What is the difference between thermopot and kettle

Thermopot is different from an ordinary electric kettle in that the latter, after boiling water, does not keep it hot. Water quickly loses its temperature, and in order to brew tea again, it is required to turn on the machine and bring the liquid to a boil.

How does thermopot work

The operation of the kettle thermos can be described as follows. After you have poured water into the container, closed the lid and turned on the device, it turns on a heating element and the heating of the liquid begins. When the water in the tank reaches a certain temperature, it works thermal switchwhich is in contact with the tank. He breaks the electrical circuit, after which the water temperature is stopped.

In the next step, the water begins to cool slowly, and this will continue until a certain temperature has been set on the control panel. For example, if you set the value to 80 degrees, then when the liquid cools to such a temperature, the thermal sensor will work, the power will appear in the circuits and the second heater, specially installed in the device, will turn on to keep the water hot.

There are models of thermopots, the temperature regime of which can be changed smoothly, ranging from the lowest to the highest. But most often you can see on sale devices that have a stepped mode switch. For example, the choice can be presented temperature: 45, 60, 75, 80, 95 degrees. But, as practice shows, 3 modes are most often used. Therefore, do not overpay for functions you do not need.

The control of all the functions of the unit, as well as the reception of information from temperature sensors, is handled by an electronic control board, which can be called the “brain” of the kettle-thermos.

In the diagram you can see the only moving unit - this is a pump (pump). You will need it if you want to pour the heated water into the cup. The pump will turn on and start pumping fluid from the tank, feeding it to the output of the unit. The pump for water supply can be both automatic and manual, for example, as in the apparatus mystery (mystery) mtp-2448 (mtr 2402). Manual pump It is used in the case when the electricity is turned off, and you need to somehow pour hot water. Also, there is a hand pump in the polaris kettle (polaris) pwp 4012d. But in the maxwell mw 1751 thermopot, a hand pump is not provided, and it is impossible to pour water in the absence of electricity.
