Appliances will be able to earn cryptocurrency

The Chinese company Midea, which is a well-known manufacturer of household appliances, has announced the release of equipment capable of mining..

A patent request was filed by the brand back in 2016, but this innovation has only attracted the attention of the public now. The essence of the procedure for equipping vehicles with the mining functionality is as follows. All home appliances that fall under the pilot project will be equipped with special chips that activate mining at a time when they are not working according to their main purpose.

 Cryptocurrency

So, for example, you can continue to use your kettle or microwave without any problems and any additional manipulations, and when the machines are idle, the chip activates the mining process. First, the device is connected to the network, then it goes through the verification and authorization procedure, after that it starts to “mine” and put the received funds into a special account.

Reference. Mining cryptocurrency is the process by which a computer solves unique problems, looking for the necessary hash. In case of a successful decision, the user receives a reward. At present, only expensive specialized PCs can solve such problems; therefore, by doing mining on your home computer, real money cannot be earned. The market offers a lot of software and hardware devices that make it possible to generate revenue in this way, but their price is also high and, as a rule, not expensive for most users.

Midea expects to increase the economic efficiency of the acquired equipment, producing devices with which you can earn. This is an unconditional “know-how” on the current market, and it is not yet known whether the company will succeed in obtaining a patent. The percentage of appreciation of models of household appliances, calculated taking into account the costs of implementing a new project, was also not announced. Perhaps, in the end, the amounts that a consumer can earn by mining their electrical appliances will not be able to recoup the cost of the model at the time of its acquisition.
