SoftWear company presented a robot capable of sewing clothes. The invention was called LOWRY.

According to the company's specialists, one robot is capable of replacing 10 people according to the general functionality. If we talk about productivity, then in an 8-hour working day he can sew around 1,145 T-shirts, a team of 600 people can do this.

The principle of operation of a mechanical tailor is based on the application of a high-speed visual system, which allows him to track any jams in the sewing process in a timely manner, to make the lines even and clear. As a result, the quality characteristics of the finished product are significantly improved, and there is almost no rejection. Naturally, to achieve a similar level of accuracy with an increased speed of work, no one, even the most highly qualified specialist, can do anything.

One of the contractors of the well-known brand Adidas has already expressed a desire to conclude a cooperation agreement with SoftWear.Through the use of robots in the production of clothing, the plant will be able to optimize the sewing process to an incredible level, increasing production volumes hundreds of times and reducing costs to a minimum. And this, given the fact that the price of such an invention will certainly be very substantial, because, in fact, there are no competitors to the car.

The International Labor Organization highly appreciates the chances of implementing the project and distributing it among enterprises not only from North and Central America, which SoftWear is currently negotiating with, but also around the world. In Cambodia and Vietnam, for example, such a technique is capable replace almost 90 percent of workersworking in the factories now, that is, all those whose productivity is made up of routine monotonous operations performed during the working day under the same scenario.
