Samsung CEO announced his resignation

Samsung Vice President Kwon Oh Hyun announced his intention to leave the company. He has already vacated the post of CEO and decided to leave the Board of Directors in 2018, when his powers expire.

Kwon O'Hyun explained that the decision he made was not easy for him. The main reason for leaving was the conscious desire of the manager to pass the baton to the management of the company to someone from the younger and more energetic specialists.

 Vice President, Samsung

For reference. Kwon Oh Hyun came to Samsung in the distant 1985. Two years earlier, the brand began producing its first personal computers. In 1992, Kwon became the author of the first 64-MB OP modules. In 1998, he was appointed to the position of head of the unit associated with large-scale integrated circuits, and in 2000 he became vice-president of the same department. In 2013, according to Time magazine, Kwon was included in the list of 100 most influential people.

Samsung, according to the former CEO, is currently in a deep crisis. And only a global update of top management can positively affect its further development. Young professionals and managers will be able to add innovative and more progressive methods to the management of the company and through this, perhaps, help it to overcome difficult times.

The Samsung press office does not report the names of possible successors to Kwon O Hyun, as well as the appointment time of the acting officer. It is only known that the Board of Directors intends to choose a new CEO in the shortest possible time.
