Russian student created a device that helps to see

A student of one of the Kazan schools, Dmitry Galimullin, who was simultaneously engaged in the circle of radiophysics at the Kazan Physical University, was the author of an unusual invention, the ultrasound eye.

The invention is mounted on the head by analogy with a headlamp, inside the device there is a rangefinder, which emits pulses in the direction of the human eye. The vision range of the device is about 2 meters.

When an obstacle appears in this radius, the eye begins to vibrate, and the closer the object, the stronger the vibration. The inventor notes that the device reacts not only to the objects in front of it, but also to objects below it or above it.

 Ultrasound eye

Current canes and lanterns for visually impaired patients have a number of drawbacks. For example, they do not allow to detect obstacles located at the level of the chest or near the head of a person.Meanwhile, collisions with such obstacles can cause significant damage to health. The new device will cope with the task of exploring the surrounding space much more effectively - all the barriers in the environment can be assessed through inclinations and turns.

The price of the device has not yet been announced, it is expected that it will not be high. The opportunity to put on a hat or cap over the ultrasound eye will be extremely convenient. This will not affect its functional characteristics.
