Unique clothes will appear in the near future.

Experts from Stanford University have created a material that can both cool and warm.

The fabric is a nanoporous polyethylene containing a layer of carbon and a layer of copper deposition. The pore diameter is 50-1000 nanometers.

The carbon layer is an excellent cope with the task of absorbing heat, so it was assigned the functions of cooling. Copper, on the contrary, is a good heat reflector, therefore, it is capable of realizing a warming functional. The small thickness of the copper layer of 150 nanometers avoids the accumulation of moisture and, as a consequence, the formation of sweat.

 Interlayer

The unique characteristics of the created fabric allow you to use it for tailoring, which will have bilateral properties.

The first test tests showed excellent results. Porous polyethylene cooled the skin to almost 34 degrees and then heated them to more than 40 degrees.

 Fabric for summer and winter

The creators of the invention believe that in the very near future, the novelty will be on sale. It is expected that increased demand for the material will be observed on the part of clothing manufacturers. Created jackets, overalls, trousers and other elements of everyday wardrobe will become very popular in areas with unstable climate and in professions associated with temperature contrast. It is possible that in the near future, the authors will find other areas of application of the material created by them.
