A new AI system will filter out bad movies.

The Belgian company ScriptBook for several years working on the creation and development of various technologies of artificial intelligence. According to the company's founder, Nadir Azermay, the film companies could save millions of dollars if they used the computer programs they proposed in developing the scenarios.

Traditionally, when evaluating a particular scenario, several basic criteria are taken as a basis. Firstly, the very essence of the script is important, that is, the story on which it is based, the plot should be interesting. Secondly, the potential of the painting is estimated, namely, whether the box office will not only be able to recoup all costs, but also make a profit. Another factor that is not obvious at first glance, but very significant in practice is the personality of the screenwriter. Directors prefer those who have successful experience in writing scripts, an unknown author is very difficult to get a really worthwhile project.

Since people are behind the estimates of all these criteria, very often there are mistakes that cost the film companies millions of dollars. According to Nadira Azermay, losses can be avoided if we take the weighted and impartial conclusions of artificial intelligence systems as a basis.

The algorithm works as follows. The written script in PDF-format is uploaded to the server, after which the system conducts its detailed analysis. The time spent on the process does not exceed 5 minutes, after checking the system issues a report. The report contains information on the potential audience of the picture, as well as valuable data on approximate cash collections.

The authors claim that the conclusions obtained by the system are three times higher than the accuracy of people's assessments.

They agree that the system is imperfect and requires further improvements, but now we can already say with confidence that it is much more effective than partisan human conclusions.

The cost of evaluating one scenario is $ 5,000, the company provides discounts to regular customers.
