Now for robots that enter the human body, you can follow

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has created a navigation system for mini-robots plying in humans. Technology got the name Remix.

In recent decades, specialists from different countries have been hard at work on various diagnostic devices that can move inside the body, identifying diseases and delivering medicinal substances to diseased organs. And by now we have managed to achieve serious results in this area. However, there is a problem that has not yet been finally solved - it is very difficult to keep track of microscopic instruments.

The micro-robots tracking option proposed by experts is based on the reflection of low-power wireless signals. In the course of the experiment, a tiny marker, freely moving in the blood stream, was implanted in the experimental animals.Reflective technology allowed to accurately determine the location of the object, and the anatomical map in combination with a computer algorithm could accurately identify the specific location of the marker.

Project manager Dina Katabi is looking forward to the use of technology not only for diagnostic purposes, but also as one of the options for targeted therapy for cancer patients.

The specialist notes that the navigation system is capable, in addition to tracking the robot, to give it special commands to perform certain actions.
