Hanging TV on the bracket

In order not to wrestle with how to hang the TV on the wall with the bracket, you will need to take simple steps.

  1. Mark points for drilling on the wall.To do this, measure with a tape measure the distance from the holes for the bracket on the rear panel of the device to its lower edge. Then mark from the floor 1 m + the value obtained when measuring on the TV. You will get the height at which will be drilled bottom mounting holes. Draw a horizontal through this point using a level.
  2. Now attach the mount (wall) for the TV so that the drawn line passes through the bottom holes of the gimbal.
  3. The next step is to draw through the holes in the mounting points for drilling.
  4. Before you install the TV bracket on the prepared wall, in some cases it is necessary to check the installation site for hidden wiring (using a special device). Using a drill (or better - a perforator), drill holes for the marks made.
  5. Drive dowels into the holes with a hammer.
  6. Attach the bracket to the wall and tighten the bolts (in some cases, self-tapping screws) into the dowels hammered with a wrench.

42ʺ flat TV panels (and especially large apparatuses) ready for installation without the use of special mounts. Manufacturers of devices have already envisaged how to hang the TV on the wall without a bracket. To do this, on the back of the device did special “ears” (grooves). Therefore, the installation of a TV with "ears" is not much different from hanging pictures or mirrors. The main thing is that the fasteners correspond to the weight of the device. If the ears for hanging are not provided, then you can make the attachment with your own hands.

Making a bracket with your own hands

If you are not going to change its position when using the TV, you can make a simple and inexpensive TV mount on the wall with your own hands.

To install the device with a screen of 32 or 42 inches, you will need to prepare 4 corners of aluminum or steel (to be used in the manufacture of the TV bracket) and 1 bicycle needle. It is recommended to use aluminum corneras it is easier to process. The dimensions of the segments are not important, the main thing is that the holes on the device body and on the corner coincide.

  1. Make in details 2 holes for fastening to the unit, and in the upper part - one by one for the spokes. Attach the finished parts to the box body (M4 screws are used).

  2. The rest of the pair of parts must be mounted on the wall. First, they need to drill 2 holes for fastening to the wall (it is possible and more, depending on the size of the device and its weight) and one hole in the top of the part to insert the spokes.
     Second pair of mounts
  3. After that, markings are made on the wall through the holes made. All holes in the 4 parts must be located strictly opposite each otherin order to avoid the device skewing after installation.

  4. The distance between the corners should be slightly less than between the same parts on the unit, so that the latter clasped the wall corners outside (placing the fasteners for the TV on the wall, it is recommended to use the building level for precise location of the parts horizontally).
  5. Now you can hang the TV on the wall. To do this, you need to raise your 42-inch unit and align the fasteners, as shown in the figure, after which you need to insert a knitting needle. If the needles are not, it can be replaced with a nail with a cap.For heavy machines, use thicker nails, for example, 100 mm long. At this stage, mounting the TV on the wall with your own hands is finished.

 Fixed tv

For mounting parts on the wall, you can use plastic plugs of the desired diameter and length (depending on the weight of the unit).

Before you attach the TV to the wall, you need to decide on wide corners. It should be such as to provide normal ventilation between the wall and the television receiver. Otherwise, your 42 inch TV will overheat, which will affect its service life. All wires, electrical and antenna, can be hidden in the cable channel.

Hanging TV on a plasterboard wall

There are many opinions on how to fix the TV on a drywall wall. Some say that it is possible to use a dowel-bow, others - that this is not a secure mount. It has been observed from practice that it is possible to hang up TVs weighing no more than 15 kg (42 inches diagonal) on a “butterfly”. This option can be used for a TV on a wall of 32 or 42 inches. Otherwise, for TVs with a greater mass, there is a risk of the destruction of drywall. For clarity, how to use the dowel, butterfly, you can watch the video:

You can hang the TV on a plasterboard wall in a more reliable way: use a strong magnet to find the screws that hold the sheet to the guides, and then attach the bracket to the metal profile. You can also hang the TV on the plasterboard wall using stud-screw.

 Stud-screw

Such an anchor as a fastening element can be screwed into both a concrete and a brick wall (pre-drilled a hole of the desired diameter). The length of the studs should be selected taking into account the distance of the drywall sheet from the main wall. The deeper the brick will be screwed into the anchor, the more weight it will be able to withstand, since the entire load will be on the supporting wall, and not on the facing sheet.

How to install the TV on the wall, was discussed above. But what if the drywall sheet is not used as a lining, but as a partition? To fasten an expensive device to such a plane is extremely not recommended. In this case, the TV can be installed on a special rackshown in the figure below. A TV hung in this way can be rotated to the bracket in any direction (thanks to the rollers on the stand), that is, the whole structure becomes mobile.
